Local 7 Summits - Pfannenstiel - Switzerland

Introduction

The Pfannenstiel (853m) in the canton of Zurich is not really considered to be a peak if you believe this website here (filtered for peaks in Canton Zurich). Nevertheless, in the context of the local7summits journey, it was our 2nd target after climbing up the Lägeren a few weeks ago.

Peak #2: Pfannenstiel

For me, the Pfannenstiel is a relatively boring peak without any extraordinary characteristics. Additionally, climbing it up is easy depending on where you start. You can even drive with the car up to the Hochwacht Restaurant from where it’s just a few meters to the top. Perhaps worth mentioning: There is a tower close to the restaurant which you can climb with some nice views.
