On the Snowy Via Ferrata

It was supposed to be an “easy” circuit hike up in the mountains close to Bellinzona – but it seems like we were too early in the year and too much snow was still on the trail.
The trail was listed as “easy” (??) by the local tourism brochure in Bellinzona. Easy means here: 5-6 hours hike, 15km with around 900m up and down. Close to Giggio the snow level was still too high so we had to return back the way we came.

The part of the trail we saw so far was amazing with green forest parts and nice views over the mountains. So definitively something for the summer – you can get up with the “Postauto” up to Carena from where you start the hike.
