Packrafting the Lech River

Back in 2013, we went down the Lech River with our packrafts after having crossed the mountains from St. Anton to Stockach in the Lech valley.

The Lech River is an excellent river for packrafting purposes and is rated according to some other sources as WW I-II (-III). We went by train from Zurich to St. Anton Friday afternoon and then climbed up the mountains in order to descend on Saturday the complete day until we reached the village of Stockach. Sunday we spent the whole day on the river and arrived late at night back in Zurich.

I’m pretty sure we will return back to the Lech valley in the near future (check out the blog article from 2018 where we returned to the Lech river).
